Karen holds a Bachelor of Psychology Degree (Honours) and Masters of Counselling Psychology Degree (Honours). She is registered with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association #1000784

Karen has worked extensively in human services over the past 25 years, ranging from front line work to clinical and practicum supervision and has ongoing experience working in Indigenous communities, both urban and reserve. It is fundamental in her practice that clients can access a safe and confidential space, which welcomes members of all cultures including the LGBTQ2 community.

Karen focuses her practice on complex trauma and mental wellness issues including anxiety, depression, self harm, addictions, panic disorders, mood disorders, stress responses and dysregulation. She is passionate about body-based modalities, particularly somatic experiencing, using research-based strategies centered on the nervous system.
